That may explain the "problem" Olivier was having. :-)
I don't use tip(1), I mostly use cu(1) by tradition, so I don't
have this problem (and I use screen(1) a lot, so ^A is occupied).
I think this needs to be changed, indeed. I think the default
should be something not actually typeable, maybe ^@ ('\0') if
it turns to work. Feel free to patch it. :-)
