| While reading my Network Programming book by Stevens, on page 71 says I can pass NULL instead of struct in_addr to just perform a validation on the input string.

| I noticed this was not in inet_aton(3). Would it be a waste to document this feature in the man page?
If it indeed works, I can't see why you wouldn't want to document it in the
man page.
