If you are willing to put up with that kind of crap, what's the
point of writing your own OS, or even having source code for the
OS you run? Shouldn't you just "be realistic" and just use the
Windows that came installed on your machine?

I've always viewed Open Source as a means of routing around the
BS I would otherwise have to put up with when using closed source
products...
