The only Quake 3 client in the ports tree, is the games/linux-q3ademo port which is an outdated version.

Id Software released Quake 3 1.32b-3 for Linux a couple of years ago (available at their FTP server). I built a port for the game. It does need reviewing though; I have tested it, but I'm not sure everything is done in the right way.
