hi ,

iam trying to compile audio support in my 4.3 release FreeBSD.Iam having an intel 810 integrated chipset with built in sound support.i got from site that i have to write

device pcm

in the config file ,to have sound support.then i recompiled the kernel, and after that i rebooted.

then when i did

dmesg | grep pcm

i didnt get anything

can anybody help how to go about configuring for my card.

In the FreeBSD handbook it has mentioned (for a generic device ) to add in the config file

options PNPBIOS

will this work. Its no use compilig the kernel again with different options until iam sure whether it will work.

any help will be highly appreciated

thanx

rohit
