java.net has a patch for this:

Based on that, I made a patch for the jdk16 port, attached and also at

http://www.wonkity.com/~wblock/xorg7.5/patch-j2se-awt-awt_GraphicsEnv.h

jdk16 builds and installs. No idea about how to test it...
